Sniper Balloons take 20 seconds to build, so make sure to adequately defend them while they are! They excel at securing your zone-of-control, and punsihing any attempts to invade it.
If you have a one-way-in base, and even moreso if you're on high ground, sniper balloons are an excellent way to protect your base from enemy units and double as a scout preventer, as 2 shots will kill an enemy commander early to mid game. By the same logic, if you're successful in containing your opponent, a few well placed balloons will ensure the commander never leaves his confined space. Placed on high ground, they'll almost always get the first-strike advantage.
- Use Sniper Balloons to restrict the movement of your enemy.
- Always try to place Sniper Balloons on a hill, as they benefit immensely from the height advantage.
