If you have a lot of anything, Wolf can be a great way to ensure you'll win a fight. Alone, wolves aren't anything but glorified squirrels but in a group gives an additional 5 dps to all units nearby it, so the more units you have the more that benefit from its buff. Word of caution, if you feel that your army is weaker than the enemy's if you took away the wolf, retreat after the buff expires to prevent the opponent turning on you. Re-engage once the buff is off cooldown.
This Tier 3 unit is able to buff up allied units’ damage close to it when encountering enemy units.

Description

If you have a lot of anything, Wolf can be a great way to ensure you'll win a fight. Alone, wolves aren't anything but glorified squirrels but in a group gives an additional 5 dps to all units nearby it, so the more units you have the more that benefit from its buff. Word of caution, if you feel that your army is weaker than the enemy's if you took away the wolf, retreat after the buff expires to prevent the opponent turning on you. Re-engage once the buff is off cooldown.

Counters

By themselves, wolves are just glorified squirrels, but in a group of other units, they provide a massive dps buff for 5 seconds. So in this case, timing is more of a counter to wolves than the actual units.
