Great to use at bigger army of small units, great for boosting building speed.

Description

If you have a lot of anything, Wolf can be a great way to ensure you'll win a fight. Alone, wolves aren't anything but glorified squirrels but in a group gives an additional buff to all units nearby it, so the more units you have the more that benefit from its buff. Word of caution, if you feel that your army is weaker than the enemy's if you took away the wolf, retreat after the buff expires to prevent the opponent turning on you. Re-engage once the buff is off cooldown.

Counters

By themselves, wolves are just glorified squirrels, but in a group of other units, they provide a massive dps buff for 5 seconds. So in this case, timing is more of a counter to wolves than the actual units.

Tier 1 Options

  • Toad: Chances are, if there's a wolf, squirrels and lizards are close by. Wolf makes them hit for more but a few toads is still all it takes.

Tier 2 Options

  • Chameleon: Assassinations of high ranking officials happen all the time, if you can get him during his cooldowns, you don't have to worry about backing off anymore.

Tier 3 Options

  • Owl: If you can get a mice to aggro the wolf, you can get it to waste the buff on a free unit. Use the next 10 seconds to fight. If the fight isn't over, make sure to back out before it buffs his friends again.
  • Boar: If the wolf has a lot of tier 1 friends, turn them into dinner.

Structural Options

  • Artillery Cannon: Player who use wolf generally has a large number of something. So as long as that "something" isn't falcons, artillery cannons can help to cull the group quite a bit.
